The search function has been updated in Directline Version 5 for the Maintenance, Equipment, and Inventory Modules. This article explains how the search works.
Screen Layout
The search screen has a number of important features Noted By the arrows
Blue – Type Key Words to search for within the selected columns
Yellow – Use these check boxes to select which columns to search for the keywords entered above.
Green – Hit the Search button to perform the search.
Red – Use this button to display the filter screen. Filters added here will be applied when you hit the Search button. The keyword search will then be applied to these results
The Filter Screen
Similar to the original search screens, enter one or more criteria to narrow down search results. Use the radio button hotkeys on the left when you only have part of the criteria, i.e one word in the manufacturer’s name.
When you hit ok you will be returned to the search screen displaying the results matching the entered criteria.
Use the Words to Search box to narrow down the results.
Select one or more items from the list by single-clicking them. Then, click OK in the bottom right corner.
